Our ancestors in America were pioneers who founded towns along the eastern seaboard: Cornish, Weymouth, Hingham, Newbury: the list goes on and on. They built the railroads that connected a rapidly expanding new territory. They fought in the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, King Phillips War, and countless battles in Britain. Each generation has a unique story to tell – and there are thousands of them. Many of these stories we are proud of. Others, we wish we could gloss over. But without any single one of them, we wouldn’t be here today to tell our story, or for our children to tell theirs.
They were first generation Americans, old world families, and pioneers.
While every story is worth being remembered, some of our ancestors accomplished more noteworthy accomplishments. than others. Some came to opportunity through birth or nobility, others created their own paths to prosperity, while others were part of bigger movements or played roles in the Military politics, or Social Justice.

Beginning with the Great Migration to America through many other historical events, our ancestors were front and center to these stories. The Peterson family lived through the Chicago Great Fire in 1871. HD McMeekin founded towns in Kansas but also served on the bogus legislature aimed at keeping Kansas a pro-slavery state.
From two Parents, to Four grandparents, to eight Great Grandparents -- watching your ancestry expand and multiply through the generations is amazing.

Fortunately many of our family members have been interviewed over the years going as far back as my great-grandmother (Francis Janda) who was born in 1892! Find these recordings, home movies and the books I have created are stored here.
The first book of our ancestry is from the years 1820 to 2020 (includes both sides of the family) and part 2 is from 1620-1820. These are the "400 Years" books.
The second and third books are Brent's family and Janda's family from the years 1820-1620 which covers early migration to the colonies.
