John Sharp Sr. was a soldier at the Battle of Point Pleasant during Dunmore’s War on October 10, 1774 in Colonial Virginia and served under the command of Captain John Floyd. He also served as a soldier in the Militia of Fincastle, Colony of Virginia during the American Revolution. He is a DAR Patriot, Number: A102958, and he is a SAR Patriot, Number P-287792.
